You are missing the point, the track which is propossed will clean up your
green dump (one acre) within the park and turn it into a nice walk way.
It will not cost you anything, and Dublin Zoo will be able to have an
addictional attraction. The people visiting the Zoo will have an amazing
nature trail. Two hundred thousand people extra will visit the Zoo / Park.

Please let me know if you do not want extra visitors, the last thing I want
to do is Pluck a bald Turkey

I have received your email back from Margaret Gormley, Park Supt. with the following reply:

Dear Mr. Johnson,

Many thanks for your proposal for a perimeter trail in the Phoenix Park.  There is currently a
jogging trail around most of the perimeter of the park (where possible) and we are not
proposing at present to upgrade this to a family trail, as there are a considerable number of
walks available for the public to use, both in open areas and through woodland areas.
Further the terrain is not suitable in many areas for such a surface as you propose and would
require a considerable amount of maintenance which we are not in a position to provide.
The park has an active programme of events at the Phoenix Park Visitor Centre which
encourages users to avail of the many facilities and enjoy biodiversity at its best.
